Step 2: Baraktna gallery Done!!

I have placed the artworks in Barakatna Gallery and all the canvases were sold to an anonymous Donor and I also sold bracelets and mugs to help raise money for the kids schools. The event was great had a lot of positive feedback and support from people. The press came to the event and wanted to do an interview with me on TV. At first I refused then I decided that it is a great opportunity and to make this project larger than life. This experience made me cherish those kids' work even more. It is also in Al-Sharq Newspaper in Saudi Arabia. This is the link to the article(can be translated in google translate: http://www.alsharq.net.sa/2012/04/08/207322

Step 2

So its been so long but i've been working on different things for this project:
1) I Contacted Al Rashid Mall in Al-Khobar, KSA, for showcasing their art in the mall they replied positively and I offered to have it in April they accepted.

2) I will also have a press release in the newspaper about this project in the time of the event.

3) I will be selling the painting to raise money for the schools in Al-Khobar exhibition. in april 7th and 8th. in Al-Khobar, KSA.

Juries Feedback 2

For the second feedback the juries were 1) Melissa Bayik, Independent Designer and Branding Specialist, 2) Chris Hubert, Senior Creative Art Director, Tonic Communications, and 3) Kimi Nath, Regional Planning Director, Publicis Graphics.

In general they gave me positive feedback for all that I have done so far. Mr. Chris gave me an idea to showcase their work in Art Dubai to get more awareness. They also said that I need to showcase their art in different places to make people know about this project and make it bigger. Melissa suggested to have an online blog showcasing their works like a flip web page. And they all told me to make this project lager than life and take it to the next level.

Step 2: Exibition

Now for step 2, I am looking for different exhibitions and for the suitable one to showcase and sell the artworks.

Step 1: Workshop (done!)

Volunteers

I went to the school to arrange the tables and all the paints, brushes. And I had gift bags for the kids with coloring books, candy, and toys to give the kids. Kids came from four different schools to join this workshop. I was impressed with the amount of talent those kids have. The teachers were impressed with their work. I have all the canvases now to prepare for the exhibit (step 2). The Workshop was great!!
